Allahumma Salli alaa Muhammadiw wa alaa aali Muhammdin fil-awwaleena wal-aakhireena wa fil malail-aalaa ilaa yaumiddeen.
Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddqi (RA) narrates that he asked the Holy Prophet (SWS) ” O Messenger of Allah! tell us which Durood we should read on you as Allah orders us to recite Duroods blessings upon you?” Holy Prophet (SWS) answered ” Recite this one.” Again Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (RA) repeated ” O Messenger of Allah! Inform us about the virtues of sending this Durood. ” Holy Prophet (SWS) replied, ” If all seas are made of ink, trees are made pens and all angels start to write the virtues of this Durood, the ink will dry, the pens will be broken and the angels will be exhausted but even they would not be able to complete the virtues of this Durood, Allah Himself writes the virtues of this particular Durood! “
